The Issues
As the Grandson of a Purple Heart Recipient and a Graduate of an Air Force JROTC program, Jarrod understands the risk and sacrifice our service men and women make every day to protect the freedom we enjoy as Americans. He respects and honors their commitment to maintaining that freedom.
Additionally, as a member of the medical community, he strongly supports first responders (EMS, Fire, Police) in their efforts to help the local community.
Jarrod recognizes the importance of organizations, such as the Chamber of Commerce, and their integral role in civic life. However, he will strive to ensure that the City Council maintains its autonomy, free from undue influence from any outside organization.
Jarrod is concerned about the impact increased density will have on our city. Increased density means more traffic, over crowded schools and the potential for an increase in crime. He joins the majority of Oldsmar residents in his desire to retain the “small town feel” that makes our city unique.
Oldsmar’s geographic location at the northern tip of Tampa Bay, makes our city an important player in maintaining the fragile estuary ecosystem that is Tampa Bay. As a diver and fisherman, Jarrod is concerned about our local water resources and the impact humans may have on the environment.
